ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Stephen M. Schleicher brings three decades of experience in the field of dermatology. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University, received his medical degree with academic honors from the Drexel/Hahnemann Medical College, and completed his dermatology residency at the Temple Skin and Cancer Hospital. The author of three books and hundreds of journal case reports, Dr. Schleicher served for ten years on the advisory board of the Day Spa Association and the editorial board of the journal Emergency Medicine. He cohosted both the radio call-in show Speaking of Your Skin and the cable television show Skin Sense. He also cofounded the first joint podiatry and dermatology fellowship in the United States.

The dermatologist founder and director of the DermDox Dermatology Centers, PC (dermdoxcenters.com), Dr. Schleicher has served as a principal investigator for more than fifty phase I–IV clinical trials. He is a pioneer in the field of teledermatology, and his weekly column (DermDx) in the journal Clinical Advisor is viewed by thousands of medical practitioners. He is a past Computerworld honors laureate and recipient of the Outstanding Specialty Provider award by the nonprofit Volunteers in Medicine. Dr. Schleicher provides clinical instruction in dermatology to physician assistant students enrolled at King’s College and Misericordia and Arcadia universities.
